Pedophile Priests
Posted May 11th, 2010 by fritznbudWith the latest news of Europe's rotten priest scandal, it's time for the families of these victims to rally together. Talk about fighting a losing battle. The Vatican has done a superb job of hiding, shuffling priests, and silencing victims and will continue to do so with the vast fortune they have accumulated. Catholic families need to listen and believe their children when something is said. No more "old country" beliefs that all is good in the church and they can do no wrong. I thank God my dad was protestant and forbid my catholic mom to send me to a catholic school. My local St Justin church had a pedophile in control and he had groped and pawed a 10 year old girl after giving her wine. This was back in 1967 and no one would have believed what happened. I was there, in the semi-trailer parked for a paper drive, playing with my friends when she came up missing. An hour later, she comes back with wine on her breath and a story to tell. It was never reported. Please people, this group of hell bound priests is real, they have organizations like NAMBLA to feed their sinful cravings.

Lesson #3.
Posted January 12th, 2010 by mach5Sometimes the choice to wait is an effective activity. The choice to do nothing is a choice contributing to one's survival at times. A successfull choice.

New Year, New Snow, New Fear
Posted January 7th, 2010 by Stacey LannertWith the New Year comes snow, in Missouri at least. I thought I was ready for anything now that I am free, but I severly underestimated the power of snow.
Not only do I feel like I am five years old and want to fling myself into it everyitme I walk outside, but I am terrified to drive in it. I hate the feeling of not being in control, especially behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. I have not driven in the snow in 19 years. Yes, 19 years.
Free Christmas
Posted December 26th, 2009 by Stacey LannertAs most of you know, this was the first Christmas I spent free in a very long time. I got caught up in the hustle and bustle, the gifts, the music. You name it and I was caught up in it and it was WONDERFUL!
I had such a wonderful time. I missed everything while I was incarcerated but one of the main things I missed was just the spirit of the season. In prison, we try to forget that it is Christmas, but not out here. Here it is done with style. It started the day after Thanksgiving and will be ending shortly. I will be sad to see it go.
Hound Dog Movie
Posted December 12th, 2009 by Stacey LannertI just watched the last hour of the movie Hound Dog with Dakota Fanning. I missed the first part of it, and I would have liked to have seen it.
This movie was very compelling and I was immobilized in front of the screen. After the girl was raped and started to shut down, I saw so much of myself in her that I could not turn off the tv if I wanted to.
My boyfriend asked me why I was so mesmerized by a story so tragic. The answer was I wanted to see if she could pull her spirit out of it. I got my answer.
If you have not seen this movie, think about seeing it if you are strong enough and if you think it will not cause flashbacks for you.
